Riverina Good Food Weekend!

Riverina Good Food Weekend!

  • Junee and Riverina Region. (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

🌾 The Riverina Good Food Weekend 🌾
Discover the best-kept culinary secret in NSW.

Behind every farm gate in the Riverina is a grower or maker with a story worth celebrating. The Riverina Good Food Weekend was born from local food lovers who wanted to share our abundant food bowl with the world. The idea? Invite a celebrity chef, create a weekend of food-filled experiences, and give locals the perfect excuse to bring city friends out for a magical country escape.

The Inaugural Weekend launches with the Riverina Long Lunch – where fire meets food on a working family farm between Wagga and Junee. Celebrity chef Charly Pretet from Terra Firma will bring his flame-kissed magic to craft an unforgettable feast under endless skies, with golden canola fields setting the stage for nature’s very own dinner theatre.

🎶 Saturday’s Long Lunch is all about slow dining at its most genuine. Picture this: live music drifting across the paddocks while you sit elbow-to-elbow with the very farmers who grew your meal. Every dish tells a story, every view shifts with the light, and every moment is steeped in authenticity.

🚗 Sunday is for discovery with the Canola Trail x Growers Sunday Drive – part treasure hunt, part foodie adventure. Armed with a hand-drawn discovery map, you’ll uncover surprise pop-ups, secret farm gates, and hidden gems among the canola blooms. For those who want to get hands-on, Charly will also host an exclusive 6-hour Outdoor Cooking Workshop – a masterclass of French flair meets Aussie fire, proving why everything tastes better cooked outdoors.

🌟 This debut weekend is more than just incredible food. It’s a celebration of what makes the Riverina so special – its land, its people, and its generosity. Join us for the beginning of what promises to be the region’s most beloved foodie tradition.

Jodie Martin- Never Say Die Tour!

Jodie Martin- Never Say Die Tour!

With a voice that soothes and lyrics that stir the soul, Jodi Martin continues to inspire with every note - a true storyteller whose music is as honest and moving as the life behind it.

Jodi Martin’s music is a heartfelt journey shaped by love, resilience, and family. Raised on a grain farm in South Australia, she began writing songs at just three years old, and that early spark has grown into a lifelong fire. With seven critically acclaimed albums, an ARIA award, and collaborations with icons like Kasey Chambers, Arlo Guthrie, and Grammy-winner Steve Leslie, Jodi has carved a powerful presence in the worlds of country, folk, and Americana music.

Time away from the stage spend with her family on the farm deepened her connection to her roots, bringing a raw emotional depth to her songwriting. Her recent singles, 'Country Mile,' 'Tommy the Toyota' and 'Good Race You Have Run' struck a chord on Australian radio joining some of her earlier releases of 'Saltwater in my Hair,' 'Diesel' and 'Never Settle,' resonating with fans old and new. Jodi’s performances offer more than just music - they're an experience of authenticity, connection, and the unshakable spirit of a woman who has never let go of her truth.

Powering Up Community Groups (Day 2)

  • Platform Y - Temora Railway Precinct (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

A two-day workshop series for volunteers, committees, and community groups in the Temora and Bland Shires.

Reignite your purpose, strengthen your group, and learn the smart, simple tools that make a real difference.

Whether you're a long-standing community group or just getting started, this workshop series is designed to help you reconnect with your mission, energise your volunteers, and make the day-to-day work feel easier and more impactful.

Across two days, we’ll dive into the stuff that really matters:

  • Working better together – Understand your group dynamics, improve communication, and build a shared vision.

  • Smarter meetings & structures – Learn how to run meetings people want to attend, and get clear on roles, rules and responsibilities (in plain English!).

  • Grants & digital tools – Write stronger grant applications and explore easy digital tools (including AI!) that save time and reduce admin.

  • Finding & keeping great volunteers – Discover practical ways to attract, support, and retain the people who make your group thrive.

You’ll walk away with:
✔ Fresh clarity about your group’s purpose and direction
✔ Practical templates, tools and ideas you can start using straight away
✔ Confidence in your committee’s roles, governance and goals
✔ New ways to bring in (and hang on to) great volunteers

We will provide afternoon tea at the Day 1 workshop and morning tea at Day 2, if you have any dietary requirements please email the organiser once you have registered.

Come along, get inspired, and connect with others doing great things in your community.
