Creative Workshop

  • Bundawarrah Centre Cultural Precinct 29 Junee Road Temora 2666 (map)

Artists Sophie Chauncy and Stewart James invite local community members to participate in a creative workshop that will help shape a new public artwork for the Temora Hospital Redevelopment.

About the Event

This relaxed, hands-on workshop brings together storytelling and artmaking, exploring landscape, connection to Country, and local place. Guided by Sophie, participants will work with mixed media on paper, gaining insight into her creative process while experimenting with mark making, layering, and a minimal, earthy palette.

The session will explore native flora and fauna, waterways, and local landscapes through hands-on creation using mixed media and found natural materials.

Throughout the workshop, Stewart will share local stories and cultural knowledge, providing environmental and cultural context that connects the artmaking experience back to Country and place.
