While cherries are the main attraction, you'll also find plums, peaches, nectarines, apricots, figs, strawberries, and olives in abundance.

Young

Take the hour-long drive from Temora to Young, famously known as Australia's cherry capital. Here, you can explore orchards brimming with cherries, apricots, and plums. Don’t miss Poppa's Jam and Fudge Factory for a taste of local jams and treats to pack for your picnic lunch. Along the way, explore the region’s wineries, such as the renowned Grove Estate and Ballinaclash Orchard and Cellar Door. Or pop into a farm-based brewery with a strong local focus that brews and serves beer that everyone can enjoy at Bulla Creek Brewing Co.

Wombat

Next, head to Wombat and visit Allambie Orchard and Café. From November to December, you can pick your own cherries, and from September to October, enjoy the blossom tours. Pack a picnic and unwind by the beautiful dam. Hill-Lock Orchard is another fantastic spot for fruit picking, offering fresh strawberries from November to February. For some family fun, try navigating The Rustic Maze and Country Garden in, Glencara.

Grenfell

For history enthusiasts, a visit to Grenfell, the birthplace of Australian writer Henry Lawson, is a must.
