Young
Take the hour-long drive from Temora to Young, famously known as Australia's cherry capital. Here, you can explore orchards brimming with cherries, apricots, and plums. Don’t miss Poppa's Jam and Fudge Factory for a taste of local jams and treats to pack for your picnic lunch. Along the way, explore the region’s wineries, such as the renowned Grove Estate and Ballinaclash Orchard and Cellar Door. Next, head to Wombat and visit Allambie Orchard and Café. From November to December, you can pick your own cherries, and from September to October, enjoy the blossom tours. For some family fun, try navigating The Rustic Maze and Country Garden in, Glencara.
Grenfell
For history enthusiasts, a visit to Grenfell, the birthplace of Australian writer Henry Lawson, is a must.
